Worcestershire Busines Woman of the Year 2013 - Hannah Edwards

BRI are delighted to announce that our Commercial Director, Hannah Edwards, won Worcestershire Business Woman of Year which was awarded to her on Friday 27th September at the prestigious event at Fews Marquees in Hanbury.

Hannah was up against some tough competition but ultimately the growth within the parts of the business Hannah is responsible for, the various initiatives Hannah spearheaded and the wider way in which Hannah gives back to the community all helped her clinch the award.

The award was presented by Olympic Champion Sharron Davies.

After receiving her award Hannah commented "I am just over the moon to have been given the award as this recognises all my achievements both from my years working in London and more recently in Worcestershire and Warwickshire. It is a great honour to be part of such a wonderful bi-annual event that takes huge efforts by all those involved. St Richard’s needs our support wherever possible and Worcestershire Women of the year is a great way of raising funds from the various events held. I must pay tribute both to my excellent fellow finalists and those involved in the Voluntary and Achievement awards."

BRI’s Chairman, Simon Boardman-Weston, said “We are all very proud of Hannah’s achievement, which reflects not only her professional approach to business but also her tremendous commitment to charitable causes.”

Other award winners were: Jacquelyn Maciejewski from Worcester who received the St Mary’s Achievement Award and the Voluntary Award was presented to Isobel Dale from Kidderminster.

As patron of St. Richard's Hospice and the Worcestershire Women of the Year Awards, Louise Hewett was "thrilled for Hannah" and congratulates all the finalists and winners "for their hard work and outstanding effort".
