Worcestershire Ambassadors Trading with China – 26th March 2014

     
Hosted by Ambassadors Frankie Tsang and Phil Dutton, business leaders across the county are invited to attend this event on March 26th at the University of Worcester Business School.

Since the Worcestershire Ambassadors trade delegation in 2010 the relationship with the city of
Hezhou has been developing. In July 2013 Grace Pan Ming Vice Mayor returned to Worcestershire
and executed Letter of Intent for Sister City Relationship with Worcester City Council. Following
that visit The University of Worcester have hosted and provided tuition to Local Government
Officials from Hezhou, The County Council are setting up High School Student Exchanges between
the regions and Destination Worcestershire are creating tourist links between the 2 Regions. The
next stage is for the politicians to sign Memorandum of Understanding and to link businesses
together from the 2 Regions. Businesses will have the opportunity to join a delegation to China
on 3rd to 10th November which will include our political leaders. You will have the opportunity
to see the scale of the development in the Region and meet prospective business partners. These
meetings will be arranged by The Hezhou Local Government on your behalf.
