I would like to invite IRP and REC members to view my profile and vote for me. Elections started on 22nd May, so look out for your ballot email.   Manifesto
Louise Hewett
Key Issues:
1.Growing, developing and retaining better recruiters.
2.Engaging and championing members to accelerate industry profile.
3.Routes to enhance future candidate generation, talent pipelines and communities.
Since founding Hewett Recruitment in 1980, Louise Hewett has been a champion of raising
standards in recruitment. Her drive, enthusiasm and belief in the industry means she has been
involved in lobbying on behalf of the recruitment sector at local and national level.

Her enthusiasm and commitment to always deliver ‘Recognisably better service’ echoes across
all her staff and throughout the organisation and her client base.

Louise enjoys using her powers of influence and network to raise the profile of
the industry and make a real difference to people’s lives locally. This was recognised when she won the ‘IRP Best Contribution to the Community’ and the ‘Pride of Worcestershire Award’ in 2010.

Louise is an honorary Fellow of the University of Worcester and acted as external advisor to the
Business School in compiling the HND Business & Finance qualification. Consultants at Hewett’s enjoy delivering employability skills advice to young people at educational establishments across the region. Hewett Recruitment plays an active role in promoting local apprenticeships and contribute via the Employment Skills Board focusing on shrinking the skills gap and increasing dialog between schools and business.

During her time as Chairman of the Worcestershire Ambassadors she led the campaign to promote the county both internally and externally as a great place to live, work and play. Louise feels she can bring this expertise to the council and further engage members to help continue to raise the profile of the industry.

Growing and retaining good professional recruiters is something Louise feels passionate about in her own business and would enjoy contributing her expertise in this area within the council. This dynamic ‘Worcestershire Business Woman of the Year’ feels she can bring her innovative approach and many years of industry expertise and thirst for raising industry standard to the REC Council.
