Press Release ... Louise Hewett voted Director of National Industry Board

Worcestershire managing director Louise Hewett of Hewett Recruitment and Fellow of the REC secured nearly 33% of the votes cast by the Institute of Recruitment Professionals members at the recent elections.

The election results were announced last week and saw Louise and a further 5 new members voted on to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation Council.

Louise will be beating a path to London on a regular basis for council meetings. Her new role enables her to play a direct role in helping to shape the future of the recruitment industry whilst continuing to raise standards and profile of the industry as a whole.

REC Chief Executive Kevin Green said “The REC council plays a vital role in helping us drive up professional standards in recruitment and improve the profile and reputation of our industry. These successful candidates have campaigned hard and I am pleased to see so many REC members taking the time to vote to choose who represents them at this strategic level.”

Louise added:- “I have been a member of the REC for 30 years and look forward to working on behalf of its members. I’m particularly interested in creating and developing better recruiters, something I’m passionate about in my own business. I’m going to enjoy working with my fellow council members and intend to make a significant contribution – it certainly is my specialist subject!”
