Louise's Column - Can you help a family in crisis?

Can you help Hewett Recruitment to help local families in crisis?

We are collecting food donations for people in our community who have fallen on hard times.  The Food Banks reply on goodwill and support from local people – let’s get together and make this a happier Christmas for everyone!

Startling statistics from the Kidderminster Foodbank at Baxter Church Hall show that 2,766 people received emergency food vouchers last year whilst Worcester Foodbank based in Lowesmoor Wharf helped 4,973. With 1 in 5 of the UK population now living below the poverty line this surely highlights the freighting reality that many of us are facing on a day to day basis in 2016.

What they need – Let’s give them some Xmas treats; sweets, chocs, crisps etc. Tinned goods including spaghetti, beans with sausages, spaghetti and sausages, macaroni cheese, tinned meat – mince/meatballs/corned beef, rice pudding and squash – small jars of coffee and personal care items such as deodorant, shampoos, shaving foam, loo rolls and washing up liquid etc.  What they don’t need: tea, sugar, pasta, soup and fish.

If you are an individual – just pop into our Kidderminster or Worcester office to donate your goods.  Businesses – if your staff would like to get together and make a collection, we will come and pick it up and take it to the nearest Foood Bank for you.

PLEASE DONATE FOOD TO HELP LOCAL PEOPLE
