HR Conference comes to the new Worcester Arena

Anyone who employs people will be interested in the subject matter at the first HR Conference being held on the 5th June at the new Worcester Arena.  Although this event has been created by Hewett Recruitment and the Chamber of Commerce specifically for Human Resource Professionals, business owners and directors are welcome to attend.

Kevin Green, Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
The New World of Work and the Impending Talent Crises
This session will be led by one of the leading commentators on the UK labour market.  Kevin is a regular contributor to BBC radio 5’s Wakeup to Money and the Today programme and has also made many TV appearances on ITV, Channel 4, Sky TV and BBC News.  Before joining the REC Kevin was HR Director for Royal Mail Letters. He was part of the leadership team which transformed the business from losing £1m a day in 2003 to making more than £600m profit in 2007.

Kevin is an HR Practitioner who will explore the changing dynamics of how people work and how this will play out over the next few years. He will identify the agenda for HR directors who want to be proactive and get ahead of the curve.
Kevin will discuss some of the key challenges:

  • How we are creating so many jobs when unemployment remains high?
  • The shape of work is changing driven by personal choice and organisational change.
  • Businesses need to think differently about attracting and retaining talent, as having differentiated employer branding becomes ever more critical.
