Hewett win tender with award winning Orchard Valley

Award winning Chamber member Orchard Valley Foods, based in Tenbury Wells, recently awarded Hewett Recruitment the tender for the provision of all their Temporary Industrial staff. This was a highly competitive tender but as Orchard Valley’s Roy Blendell explained, “What set Hewett apart was their human side; they treat people with care and respect. They have a good understanding of our company ways of working and culture.”

Gill Hodgson, Sales Director stated, “Orchard Valley Foods has many retail, wholesale and food service customers for its confections, decorations and functional ingredients and we’ve gained a reputation for our high quality packing service which is made possible through our excellent staff. We are pleased to be entering into this exclusive contract with Hewett’s, who are a people orientated business. John Taylor, Operations Director added, “In our experience of working with them over the last 4 years they’ve always considered what extra value they can add through the people they recommend to us.”

Hewett Recruitment are looking forward to continuing to support Orchard Valley in their plan for consolidated growth over the next three years. Ben Mannion, Hewett’s Strategic Development Director said, “We work with a number of food & drink manufacturers and suppliers and have a track record of being able to consistently supply good quality personnel, whilst maintaining the high level of compliance and stringent standards that are required within the food & drink industry. The team at Hewett Recruitment are looking forward to continuing to support the people at Orchard Valley Foods and the growth of the company moving forwards.” Louise Hewett added, “The icing on the cake is the fact that all our Temporary Workers tell us what a great place Orchard Valley is to work – they are not made to feel as if they are just there on a temporary basis, they feel like valued members of the team. Some of them have even been offered permanent positions along the way, which is great. The relationship between our industrial consultants, Di and Sarah, who run this contract on a day to day basis, and the Orchard Valley team is second to none ...a very happy enjoyable relationship that works well.”
