Getting a temp job and making money over the summer

A vast majority of temporary workers over the summer are now made up of students looking to earn some extra cash over the holidays, while also adding some office based work experience to their CV. It is a really simple process to register as a summer temp, and once you are already registered with us you can just call us each holiday to advise your availability, and we can get you right back out into work, no need to re-register again!

The initial process is simple:
1. Send across a copy of your CV to jennie@hewett-recruitment.co.uk or pop into the office to see us
2. On the date of your registration appointment bring in your valid ID and any references you may have
3. You will be asked to complete registration forms, carry out computer testing (MS Word/ Excel and Data Entry) and have a short face to face interview with a consultant
4. Once you're registered a consultant will then call you to discuss any suitable temporary roles that becomes available suit which match your skills.

Roles can vary from Admin, IT, Customer Service, Reception, Data Entry or even industrial/ warehouse if that’s what you are happy to do.

Be ahead of the other graduates and get some work based experience on your CV, this will help when you come to get your first permanent job!!!

When you work for us, work hard and become a great asset to the Temp team Clients can ask for you back each holiday. This is a great benefit for you as it means you can potentially have a job every time you are home from University, and it will also mean you have that spare bit of money and extra experience.

Having a job over the summer, and through other holidays, can be beneficial in many ways – it can help you financially, give you some extra work experience and increase your skill set. Currently more and more employers are seeking graduates with ‘soft skills’. Temping throughout holidays can improve your communication, analytical skills and the ability to be a good ‘team player’ and this is just what employers are looking for!
