About Cyber Skills Centre
Cyber security breaches now cost UK plc many billions each year and there has recently been a particularly sharp rise in cyber-attacks made against small businesses. The UK, however, simply does not yet have the skills to combat this threat: a recent National Audit Office report found that the cyber security skills gap facing the UK is so severe it could take as long as 20 years to correct and cost the country £27 billion every year during that time.

The National Cyber Skills Centre has opened to address this wide skills gap by working with e-skills UK to deliver training in direct response to specific identified industry need, supporting businesses both small and large.

As a centre of excellence, the National Cyber Skills Centre will also act as a hub of continuing professional development (CPD) for the UK’s growing population of cyber specialists, developing clear career pathways to recognised certifications and continuous professional training plans for the many, varied roles within cyber security.

Whether you are a small business looking to take the first steps to protecting your company, or an experienced cyber specialist looking to deepen your knowledge and open up career pathways, you can rely on the National Cyber Skills Centre to provide relevant skills growth through its extensive range of programmes written by industry and taught by practitioners.
