Double Whammy for Hewett’s!

Recently, businesses from across Worcestershire have been participating in Charity sporting events.

On Wednesday September 17th a charity Grand Prix Karting event took place in aid of Sight Concern Worcestershire, the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of local people with sight loss across the whole Worcestershire. Hewett Recruitment, whose head office is based in Kidderminster, held on through 90 minutes of racing, 3 driver swaps, 3 black flags, crashes and spin outs to take the top spot and first place. They successfully fought off the other 15 teams right until the end where they won out right despite the high level of competition from the Hayward Wright teams.

Teams were not just quick on the track they were also fast to dip their hands in their pockets helping raise £1,400 for Sight Concern Worcestershire.

Team Hewett’s second triumph was on Thursday 25th September at Ravenmeadow Golf Club. Droitwich based company hotelshopUK held a Charity golfer and non-golfer day in aid of Little Princess Trust and Ruimveldt Children’s Aid Centre. This event was part of the companies’ 15|15 challenge, hotelshopUKs staff challenge to raise £15,000 whilst celebrating turning 15 years old as a business.

After having one and a half hours tuition then ‘Tee’ and Cake all teams enjoyed a nine hole Texas scramble competition.

Most teams entered the ‘Nearest the Pin’ and ‘Straightest Drive’ competitions and then further donated by entering the raffle. All in all on the day the teams helped raise over £2000 towards hotelshopUKs 15|15 challenge.
