A man of many talents - Who is Kevin Green?

Keynote speaker: REC Chief Executive Kevin Green.

This year’s Herefordshire & Worcestershire HR Professionals Conference ‘Keynote’  Speaker is Kevin Green the Chief Executive at Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).  Kevin attended the HR Conference as Key note speaker at the inaugural event in 2013 and again in 2014.  Hewett Recruitment and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce are delighted to welcome him back once again on 17th November 2017.

Kevin is a regular commentator on the UK labour market on national TV and was recently expert adviser on BBC2’s ‘Who’s The Boss’ programme. Before joining the REC as Chief Executive, Kevin was HR Director for Royal Mail and was responsible for all people related issues for a business with 165,000 employees and helped to transform an organisation losing £1million a day in 2003 to making more than £600m profit in 2007.

Prior to this, Kevin was Managing Director of Qtab, a successful strategic HR consultancy that specialised in assisting businesses to develop and implement their people strategies. His clients included Lloyds TSB, First Choice, Fuji, Orange and Unilever. Since arriving at the REC, Kevin has improved its offering to members; this has included the introduction of account management, launched the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and developed a business support unit under the Academy for Business brand. During Kevin’s tenure at the REC it’s been recognised for its excellence in service provision and campaigns, winning over nine trade association and member awards as well Kevin personally winning the trade association leadership award. Kevin has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel and is a Fellow of the CIPD and IRP writing many articles on HR Strategy and Organisational Change.

He is a much sought-after, insightful speaker on subjects such as the future of resourcing; using people strategies to improve competitiveness and how to undertake people-centric organisational transformation. He is also a regular contributor to BBC radios 5’s Wakeup to Money and the Today programme. Kevin has also made many TV appearances on ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Jeff Randall live, Newsnight and BBC news commenting on the UK labour and employment market. Kevin is married, has a son and is an Arsenal season ticket holder.

As keynote speaker at the HR Conference in November, Kevin will be discussing the future of recruitment. Kevin will explore what creates value in 21st Century Britain, taking a look at why talent matters and what does great HR look like over the next decade. Addressing two fundamentals of World class HR– creating value today and tomorrow as well as the rise of the robots and digital platforms.
