‘Sizzling’ HR guru shares vision to retain top talent in workplace

Delegates at the recent HR Conference hosted by Hewett Recruitment the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce were given an inspirational insight into how to engage and retain employees from Recruitment Employment Confederation Chief Executive Kevin Green.

Mr Green warned the capacity delegation at Sixways that it’s now time to rethink how businesses engage and retain staff as competition becomes more intense for top talent as companies come out of recession.

Headlining 4 keynote speakers for the day long conference, Kevin Green had the audience enthralled by his passionate views and practical ideas on how to thrive in a changing employment world. He demonstrated his vision for the shape of business to come and what that means for workplace jobs.

“If we think we’ve seen change over the past 50 years, over the coming decades, significantly more change will mean immense employment challenges,” Mr Green stated. “For me, we live in the best time ever, and as we look to the next 5-10 years, the opportunities in the workplace are massive.”

Conference co-host Louise Hewett, managing director of Hewett Recruitment secured Kevin Green to speak, and comments: “Kevin emphasized the need to look at talent at any level in the workplace. His definition of talent is someone who can thrive with change and work both strategically and operationally, whatever level of business they are at. With both anecdotal examples and practical ideas, Kevin inspired all the businesses in the room, from the big employers to SME’s. Such was the buzz he created, that none of the delegation minded that he overran on time. Simply sizzling!”
